About Us

The publishing arm of the African Urban Institute.

The African Urban Institute Press was founded in 2017 with a mission of giving emerging authors and urban professionals from developing countries a publishing platform. It is the publishing arm of the African Urban Institute, an urban development think tank that help African cities unlock their potential.

African Urban Institute Press publishes work as a non-profit entity with a vision of stimulating debate on urban topics that are not in the mainstream urban discourse as well as spotlighgith the processes of urbanisation that are unfolding in developing countries.

The entity covers various topics on cities ranging from urban planning and studies, architecture, urban economics and urban environment. It publishes in various genres seeking to cater to all readers on issues of urbanisation and human settlements.

Currently is is publishing manuscripts that fall under non-fiction, fiction, biography, teen & young adults, textbooks, manuals and guides.
